Web Design Internship
Job Description
Reports to: Owner
SUMMARY
We are currently looking for a Web Design Intern in Reading, PA. This individual will be responsible for the creative conceptualization and production of Web application user interface designs and multimedia/electronic media products in support of the agency website and the overall interactive marketing strategy of the agency. Through an understanding of user and application requirements, industry research, and a sound understanding of graphic design principles and the creative design process, the Web Designer Intern will help to generate web based products that meet business objectives, branding/positioning strategies, and user needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Superior knowledge of current web-design and electronic media trends and techniques.
- Working knowledge of Adobe graphic design applications & Content Management Systems.
- Working knowledge of HTML, XHTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS and web authoring tools. Formal training and/or certification a plus.
- Experience with implementing, managing, and designing around web site content management systems.
- Experience with cross-browser issues (IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera, etc.).
- Knowledge of any of the following a plus: ASP.NET and PHP.
- One or two years of web design experience or equivalent combination or education and experience. Advanced coursework in graphic and web design preferred.
- Mature understanding of design principles such as layout, color, typography, and information design
Solid understanding of web production processes and human-computer interaction principles
- Knowledge and experience with flash design.
- Other duties as assigned.
